Terms of Service

Effective May 14, 2026

By using WeatherValet, you agree to these terms. We’ve kept them plain and short. If anything seems off, email hello@weathervalet.ai.

What WeatherValet is

WeatherValet provides weather forecasting, daily briefs, meteorologist consultations, and severe weather notifications for businesses and individuals. We combine National Weather Service data with our own decision rules and human meteorologist review.

What we promise

What we cannot promise

Weather forecasts are inherently uncertain. No service can guarantee what the atmosphere will do. We provide our best professional judgment, but you are the one making the operational decision. WeatherValet is not responsible for outcomes resulting from weather events (including but not limited to property damage, business losses, event cancellations, or personal injury), whether or not those events were correctly forecasted.

Life-safety decisions. WeatherValet is not a replacement for official National Weather Service warnings or local emergency management. If the NWS issues a tornado warning, take shelter regardless of what our briefs say. We are a decision-support service, not a sole-source authority.

Acceptable use

Termination

You can cancel anytime via your subscriber portal or by emailing us. We can terminate accounts for violation of these terms, abuse of meteorologists or Crew members, fraudulent payments, or extended non-payment. We will typically give notice and an opportunity to correct except in cases of serious abuse.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, WeatherValet’s liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits; in those jurisdictions, the limit is the smallest amount allowed by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Marion County, Indiana, unless you have a right under consumer protection law to litigate in your own jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we’ll email account holders at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
